#10photos for 10/10/10

I had the most noble intentions of participating in the #10photos project, and I took my pictures (one every hour for 10 hours on 10/10/10) and then… nothing.  I loved the idea of capturing a day in the life – I was not as absolute as some participants about taking my photo exactly on the hour, nor of the photo being exactly what I was seeing at the time.  Instead, I took it as an opportunity to capture an average day in the life.  And for that, it was perfect.  And still useful for me, even as I’m posting this now.  So, here goes…

New Beginnings

Spring is a season of new beginnings.  A time when plants come back to life from their winter rest (at least if you live someplace colder than our current balmy Southern California) and birds nest (some of them right outside my dining room window).  And apparently, a time to start a fresh blog.
